Points to remember

# Minimum 6 months experience is required in the company for getting the benefit of the above-mentioned categories. For example, if a student has worked for 6 or more months in a Fortune 500 company and remaining months in a Public Listed Company, then scholarship will be given as Fortune 500 company.

Required Documents:

Experience certificate clearly mentioning the date of joining, working hours, date of relieving, job responsibilities and salary drawn along with other perks orany other document.
At least 1 reference letter from any of the past employer/s.

LPU offers a special scholarship scheme on performance in Innovation, Startup, Entrepreneurship & Hackathons.. This scholarship is offered to students who would like to continue their pursuit of creative minds. This scholarship is primarily meant to inspire students to follow their dreams.

Scholarship will be awarded to the students based on achievements in the previous two years.
Students will be selected on the basis of their achievements at the international/national level.
Final recommendation for the policy will be given by the selection committee.

Validity of Scholarship Policy:

The Scholarship Policy is valid for One Year only, continuation of Scholarship for the next session will be based on his/her scoring of 6 Marks out of 10 as per scholarship continuation criteria:

Academic Benefits to Innovator/ Entrepreneurs & Hackathons

Academic benefits to be provided to students based on their achievements:

20% Bonus Marks in Overall Marks.
MTE & ETE proration with each other considering the highest marks in case the student has missed an exam due to a university-approved event.
In case a student misses ETP due to participation in some university-approved event then he would get one free Re- Appear chance.
Duty Leave a maximum of 3 weeks for competition preparation for events approved by the Division of Start-up Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
Duty Leave for all competition days approved by the Student Welfare Wing.

Note

Student should be provided Academic benefits as per the above-mentioned table in each subject over & above he/ she actual marks obtained in ETE.
Highest achievement will be considered for Academic Benefit.
Marks obtained + Academic Benefits must not be above 100%.

Cash Prize (Honouring Ceremony)

Cash Awards will be given only to the winners of those games, which are included in the International Achievement Award or National Achievement Award or equivalent list.
The amount of Cash awards will be announced separately every year before the ceremony.
Only highest level of achievement will be awarded for multiple categories.
No cash prize will be awarded to the student if he directly participated in the event without the approval of Division of Startup, Innovation & Entrepreneurship.
Student accomplishment shall also be considered for honouring amount as per the above mentioned Categories, after duly verified from Coordinator of Division and Head of Wing.
Student shall not be considered for any honouring benefit under Intoxication/Drug case.

Process for Availing Sports Scholarship:

Applicants need to submit their achievement documents through email to admission@lpu.co.in
Evaluation of the submitted documents will be done by the scholarship panel.
An applicant might get a grade or might be asked to attend the trial process or might not get selected for sports scholarship based on the panel's decision.
Final Results will be provided to the candidates on the 25th of every month.
All applicants marked for Trials will be intimated about the date(s) of conduct of Trials through the university's official website/email.
All applicants who are not selected for sports-based scholarship can apply for LPUNEST or other scholarships offered by University.

Note:

All the outstanding sports persons that will be representing LPU and awarded with any grade of sports scholarship, Gym and Indoor Sports Complex is free for them.
To award TABS i.e. Trial/Audition Based Scholarship, University will conduct the trials. Click to apply.
Applicant has to apply for the same separately. Details may referred from 'Guidelines for Trial /Audition Based Scholarship' as mentioned in Part-C of Prospectus - 2023.
An applicant can avail Free Transport facility in lieu of Free Residential Facility also. However, in such cases, Free Food facility will not be offered.
For BPED and MPED Programmes, Student seeking admission in B.P.Ed. and M.P.Ed. if qualifies the scholarship criteria of 'A+' Grade then he or she will be awarded the same. However, in case student is falling under other Grades that is 'A' , 'B' and 'C' then in that only 'C' Grade scholarship is to be awarded.
For 'A+' Grade scholarship in case student falls in scholarship criteria mentioned under point no. S-A+11 to S-A+14 then decision will be made to the student within 10 days, but for point no. S-A+15 to S-A+16 decisions may take 6 to 8 weeks depending upon the application received and merit.
For the award of above mentioned sports scholarship, age of candidate must be less than 27 years.

Sports or Games wise seats may be fixed, so sports scholarship will be awarded subject to availability of seats in the particular Sport or Game in which student has applied for.
Scholarship/ Financial Aid under different categories may not be offered in all the programmes of the university. For more information, contact the admission office.

Lovely Professional University strongly believes in the fact that monetary constraints should not be an obstacle for a Research Scholar to have access to quality education. So the University offers India’s largest Scholarship scheme. The objective of the scheme is to realize the vast talents that may be hidden due to financial constraints. Under this scheme, Research Scholars have been awarded with scholarship worth ₹ 100+ crores in last year only.

1. On the basis of Performance in LPUNEST (Ph.D.)

The categories of scholarship are based upon performance in LPUNEST (Ph.D.) The cut-off for each category will be announced along with the result of respective schedule. The scholarship details are as per the following table:

Minimum research outcome:
(a) Each year the research scholar under this fellowship shall be required to publish at least three Scopus indexed research/ review papers in Q1 journals with minimum impact factor of 2 each.
(b) The fellowship is applicable only for the second and third year from the date of admission.
Fellowship discontinuation: Non-fulfilment of the minimum research outcome may lead to the cancellation of this Fellowship.
Fellowship Transfer case: If the scholars as per eligibility criteria-(i) are not able to fulfil the terms then it may lead to cancellation of this Fellowship and they will be applicable for normal JRF Fellowship given at the time of admission for the fixed time as per the university guidelines.

Note:

If candidate qualifies JRF/NET/SPM/GATE/GPAT with in 1.5 years of registeration in the Ph.D Programme then he/she is eligible for scholarship on that basis from the immediate next term.
Scholarship including contingency for Ph.D. Programme is applicable maximum of upto 4 Years from the date of admission.
In case of any confusion, decision of Head, Centre for Research Degree Programmes will be considered final.

Scholarships for toppers from various education boards

LPU offers a special scholarship scheme of full Programme fee waiver to Top 20 Rank holders of every Recognized School Board (State, Central and Open Board provided a minimum 1000 students should have appeared in the said exam) .

The benefits of the scheme are as below:
- Full Programme Fee waiver (Including Examination Fee), and
- Free Stay in a four-seater room (Air Cooled Room) in hostel
