The college got established in 2005 and as a Constituent of the Adhiparasakthi Charitable, Medical, Educational and Cultural Trust (ACMEC). This trust was established in 1978 by Arul.Thiru. Padmashri Bangaru Adigalar. Their BDS course was approved by ministry of Health and Family welfare, Govt.of India, Dental Council of India and is affiliated to Tamilnadu Dr.M.G. R Medical University, Chennai. APDCH got its final BDS recognition in the year 2010. 

It was ten years later around 2015 and 2016 that the PG courses began. The fields in which the PG courses began were Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics, Prosthodontics Crown and Bridge, Periodontics, Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Oral pathology and Microbiology. All the PG programs got its final Recognition in 2018. In Current academic Year 2021-2022 PG program in Pedodontics has been started with three seats.

This college was established with a noble cause of providing affordable dental care to the downtrodden and weaker section of the society and also to provide education with social, cultural and spiritual values; the motto being “Your smile Our pride” and “Learn and Lead.”

They have the approvals and accreditations like ISO 9001:2015, NAAC with CGPA of 2.65 on four-point scale at ‘B’ Grade since 2015 and we are one among few dental institutions to have NABH (2020 - 2023) accreditation. Upgradation with the latest equipments and technologies like CBCT, CAD CAM and 3D printing undoubtedly makes APDCH a regional leader and global player in Dentistry.

The college has different hostel facilities for the boys and the girls. The boys and girls hostel have 73 and 143 rooms respectively. The hostel has all the facilities that the modern hostel has. They make sure that the students feel like they are staying at their homes while in the college. Strict no ragging policy is followed in the campus. There is a mess inside the hostel that provides premium quality and nutritious food to the students. The aim of the mess is that to provide home like food to the students. An experienced catering contractor runs the Institution’s mess.

The mess has separate dining areas for the boys and girls of the college. Adequate ventilation facilities with exhaust fans and other required infrastructure have been provided at the mess. At any given time, the mess can easily and comfortably serve 200 students. An exclusive cafeteria to cater to the need of the day scholars is also available. Hygienic food is served in the canteen and special care is taken to use R.O. processed water for cooking purposes. There is a warden and also ward boy inside the hostel campus who takes care of the students inside the hostel campus. 

The proper hygienic care is taken for the students inside the hostel campus. The bathrooms, rooms, and the mess is always cleaned so that good quality life is provided to the students. 

The hostel facility is also available for the staff members. Each room is well equipped with good ventilation and lighting facilities and neatly furnished with cots, study tables, cupboards, tables, chairs, etc. The hostel has a round-the-clock (24 hour) power back up facility and an efficient R. O. system to provide clean and pure drinking water. The hostel building is quite aesthetic.

There is a specialised career guidance cell in the college. The student council along with career guidance cell and Interns Talent Club organizes programs on a regular basis which focuses on Students’ future goals and perspectives. This is an eye opener to students which broadens their vision and guides them in the right path when they complete their degree. The institution provides additional training for BDS students throughout the year in their internship to face the NEET exam through an academy named AHEID (Adhiparasakthi Academy of Higher Education in Dentistry). 

The student council in collaboration with placement cell also organizes Campus Recruitment Drive for Undergraduate and Post Graduate Students in collaboration with many companies and private clinics. Ours is the only institution which conducts campus recruitment drive among dental institutions in India. Such programs will enrich future dentists about the wide scope of dental career.

The candidates should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission. Should have passed indian NEET Exam. 

MDS

Candidates for admission to the first year of M.D.S Post Graduate Degree Dental Course shall be required to:

a. Have qualified for the B.D.S Degree of this University or any other University recognized as equivalent thereto by the authority of this University and the Indian Dental Council and obtained permanent registration from any of the State Dental Councils.

b. Have passes B.D.S Degree examination and completed one year of C.R.R.I.

Or

- One year of House Surgeon ship in a recognized Dental College, if they belong to old regulations

Or

- Three years of experience in Dental practice after the B.D.S qualification and registration with the State Dental Council.

The campus of this college is quite a modern one. They call their campus as the leafy campus because of the green ambience all around. The college knows their responsibility towards the nature for which they have designed a totally green campus. They have an eco friendly campus and they work towards the protection and management of biodiversity to obtain resources for sustainable development. Water conservation and waste water recycling is done and monitored on a regular basis.

The college has alternate sources like solar panels, LED lights for energy conservation and increased use of renewable energy for achieving our goal towards “Go-Green and Grow-Green”. They have delightful spaces for studying, living, and interaction. The campus of the college has properly ventilated and comfortable classrooms. They have tight round the clock security arrangements in the campus that ensures the safety of the students. The medical facility of the college is tight along with a doctor that is available on the call service.

The Institution has two fully air-conditioned conference halls with a seating capacity of 125 and 50 respectively. In addition, we have a centrally air-conditioned auditorium that can accommodate 600 persons with custom Audio-Visual facilities. A 250 chair Examination Hall well equipped with 2 CCTV cameras, 4 mobile jammers, 2 electronic body scanners, a separate broadband enabled computer room to download and print question papers and conduct all examinations is available for the smooth conduct of the various Internal and University Examinations.

All these facilities are located in the separate Academic Block. The administration and examination sections have been fully computerised and automated to handle the various processes of admission, student related information and examination. All the departments in the campus are well furnished with computers, laptops, LCD projectors and the relevant software packages. 

The college aims to have a college campus that the students have always desired about. The faculty helps the students in the 360 degree development. Along with the careers, the faculty of the college also engages in developing the personalities of the students. Lots of extra curricular activities are organised in the college to help the students grow in the respective fields. Enough opportunities are given to the students to excel in their interested area. There are libraries in the college wherein they can take help from external books, journals, and other references.  

The college also has a specialised hospital Block and an Academic Block. The Hospital Block has 9 dental departments with 269 dental chairs, adequate pre-clinical laboratories, clinical areas, patient waiting areas and seminar rooms with state of the art equipment’s. They also have a specialised engineering section as well with highly qualified engineers and adequate support staff to supervise and maintain the infrastructure and other equipments of the Institution. A class room complex with four ICT enabled class rooms that include facilities like smart boards and Visualizers have been made available.
